The Feuars Arms, Kirkcaldy
The Feuars Arms in Kirkcaldy has seen some ghostly activity in the past. We were contacted by a staff member of the Feuars Arms to request that we do an investigation.
A previous owner of the pub, who claimed to be psychic, had many encounters with the ghosts. The new owners, having only been in ownership of the pub for a short time had also started to experience strange goings on down in the basement, things moving, strange noises and the valves for the beer pumps were being inexplicably turned off during the night.
The Investigation
Having been rather lost when trying to find the Feuars Arms we didn't arrive until 11pm, it meant getting straight to work as we had not planned in carrying out an all night investigation. We were greeted by the very pleasant owners and given a quick tour.
We set up 3 night vision camcorders, 2 digital voice recorders and 1 analogue voice recorder. We were also taking still photographs with 3 digital cameras in the hope of catching some light anomalies. Having toured the basement of the pub to take all of our base EMF and temperature readings we switched to night vision and cut the lights to start our vigil.
We explained to the resident spirits that we did not have alot of time and asked if they could help us out and they duly obliged with some strange noises and a couple of light anomalies, we also experienced some very distinct cold spots and some EMF meter fluctuations where there seemed to be no apparent cause. We sat for a couple of hours with no other notable incidents taking place and decided to pack up as the owners were about to close up for the night. As always we were looking forward to the next day to analyse our footage.
