Clan McNab Burial Ground
Located in Killin, Stirlingshire, the Clan McNab Burial Ground is on an island in the middle of the Dochart River by the Dochart Bridge.
There is a stone enclosure where the Clan Chiefs are buried and there are also a couple of graves outside the enclosure.
According to legend, the burial ground is supposed to be haunted by the last person to be buried there.
The Investigation
The burial ground is on private land and therefore to access it we were required to get the key from the local folklore centre in Killin. Visitors to the burial ground are only allowed 30 mins before handing the key back. For these reasons, this was only a short investigation.
We began by taking photographs, camcorder footage, temperature readings and EMF readings from around the enclosure. All EMF readings were normal and nothing was picked up on camera, but we did pick up some unusual temperature fluctuations, our readings were generally between 9C and 11C, around one particular area of the enclosure we recorded -14C.
One member of our team, when investigating this area felt he had been touched on the hand as he was using an infra red thermometer and immediately recorded -14C.
This is only a very brief summary of our full report. Please contact us for more details, photos and video clips from our Clan McNab Burial Ground investigation.
